WHY DO PEOPLE EAT FOOD?

Plants and animals are living things, so they need food to live. The process of providing or obtaining the food necessary for health and growth is called nutrition.

WHAT KINDS OF FOODS DO PEOPLE EAT?

Foods that are commonly eaten in the Caribbean are placed into six food groups. The Caribbean’s six food groups are staples, legumes, animal foods, fruits, vegetables, and fats and oils.
